We are a family run butcher shop in the Golden Hill neighborhood of San Diego. Our mission is to source our meat from small ranchers who carefully raise their animals thus providing the customer the best tasting meat. By doing so we can inform our customers about where their meat came from and how it was raised. We can custom cut any meat to the customer’s needs and provide great recommendations on cooking it as well. We hope to get more people cooking at home, strengthening bonds amongst friends and family through food. We also hope to bridge the gap between rancher and consumer and in doing so these independent farms can continue to thrive.
From winning chicken wing eating contests to entertaining friends and family at home, I’ve always had a passion for food and providing it to others. I eventually started to realize though that quality is more important than quantity. I started to get myself into shape, eating more responsibly, and educating myself on how animals are raised for commercial consumption in today’s world. Once I had lost 50 lbs and kept it off I realized I can still love eat meat but still be healthy. In my free time I love going to see live music and taking my dogs to the beach. I’m excited to be a part of this community and to develop relationships here for generations to come.
Hello my name is Marcos Tapia. I enjoy watching and playing sports. Also love attending Church and spending time with my nephews. I have a huge interest in Meats. I have been working in the meat business for eight years now and I love it. There is so much to educate yourself about even after eight years I am constantly learning. My mission is to provide my customers with the best quality of meat I can find. Whether it is a natural or grass fed product I plan on giving you many different choices.
